NYCE.LOGIC shows the way to stronger, faster business growth at ICT & Logistiek event 2021
In November, as part of our launch in the Netherlands, we welcomed ICT & Logistiek visitors into the world of NYCE.LOGIC, demonstrating how our WMS contributes to improved warehouse processes and helps businesses grow faster.
Our first appearance at ICT & Logistiek in the Netherlands reflected the NYCE.LOGIC expansion plans and ability to serve customers across the region.
With so much to see and learn around the conference theme of ‘Resilient Logistics: agility and connectivity’ we left with a sense that the world of logistics has more challenges and opportunities than ever before. The big question is, are businesses moving quickly enough to take advantage?

Our ‘Top 3’ takeaways from Utrecht:
Modernise WMS
Changing consumer behaviour and the explosion in online orders fuelled by the global pandemic has led to greater demands than ever being placed on 3PL providers. In addition, this year has seen big challenges in the shape of labour shortages, supply chain backlogs and lack of warehouse capacity.
Against the backdrop of this ‘perfect storm’, smart businesses are taking the initiative. Swapping analogue and manual for digital and automated, embracing advancing technologies – robotics, automation, forecasting, evaluation and AI – to combat global sector issues and meet demand. Positive steps are being taken across the industry but the question being asked at ICT & Logistiek was, ‘are existing WMS plans ambitious enough to future proof our businesses?’ The 3PL and Retail companies we met all had high aspirations, and in general, they all shared a wish to modernise their WMS – and fast.
Digitise & Automate – or else…
It’s simple, digitalisation allows the fast implantation of the functionalities essential for a modern WMS. Automation opens possibilities for visibility, system connectivity, upskilling and standardisation. It also makes life simpler. With one WMS system managing both the manual warehouse tasks and the automation results, you have a streamlined process and a happier workforce with employees only having to learn one system to effectively complete assignments.
Some of the best conversations at the show centred on the choice, flexibility and innovation presented by the open architecture of NYCE.LOGIC Automation. We have ready-to-go integrations with several robotics and automation solutions – and are regularly adding more – but, in such a dynamic market environment, it’s important that customers can integrate into whatever robotics system they choose.
Integration is key
NYCE.LOGIC offers easy integrations for businesses to onboard clients with minimal limitations and the immediate ability to optimise across the workforce, from choosing picking routes to operational processes such as invoicing, all in one place. If you can’t effectively integrate, you can’t effectively transform.
At the close of the show we had one more big question; was it the coffee, the beer tasting or the exclusive ROI calculation that drew so many retail and logistics leaders to our NYCE.LOGIC stand? We may never know exactly, but we want to say a big Thank You to all who came to meet us and talk about how WMS contributes to improved warehouse processes and fast business growth.
