Extenda Retail, a leading retail software innovator, has launched Tillie, a conversational AI chatbot designed to simplify POS interactions and store operations. Tillie centralizes and automates retail tasks, providing staff with actionable insights while seamlessly integrating with the Hii Retail Platform.

In line with Extenda Retail’s pragmatic approach to AI, Tillie aims to transform retail processes into more intelligent, adaptive, and streamlined experiences. By empowering retail staff to focus on human-centric tasks like exceptional customer service, Tillie boosts productivity with less effort. Tillie serves as the single, central access point to Hii Retail applications, fostering consistency and clarity for users and providing a single source of truth for business-critical information.

Tillie's Autonomous Agent Capabilities:

  • Insights into KPIs:
    • Sales and Profitability Analysis: Track sales and traffic evolution, analyze category and item profitability, and evaluate potential promotional activities.
    • Operational Performance: Assess sales across different channels and track employee performance. Future capabilities will include creating new promotions and simulating their effects based on past performance.
  • For Store Staff:
    • Product Information: Access detailed product specifications (specs, sizes, colors, price, promotions) and advise customers on top-selling items.
    • Sales and Recommendations: Upsell items frequently purchased by other customers, recommend alternatives, bundles, or higher-margin products, and leverage loyalty data for clienteling.
    • Availability and Ordering: Easily check product availability in-store, other locations, or warehouses, with future capabilities to create customer orders directly from Tillie.

Initially, Tillie will integrate within Extenda Retail's own applications, with future roadmap plans including integrations with other AI agents and collaboration tools. Tillie's ability to understand natural language conversations and translate them into specific queries and tasks within retail workflows is powered by Extenda Retail’s microservices, cloud-native architecture. This architecture provides the interoperability and extensibility necessary for Tillie to act as an interface to Extenda Retail Hii Retail, allowing for rapid adaptation as AI functionality evolves through open APIs.

 

Availability: Tillie will be available to early adopter customers in Q1 2026, with broader availability planned for H1 2026.
