Today, it’s more exciting than ever to be a consumer. The new purchasing behavior has meant that the consumer’s role in trade has been strengthened and that power has shifted from retailer to consumer. Technical progress is so fast that consumers’ habits, curiosity and demand will require retailers to offer different types of shopping solutions. Today, consumers want to act on their terms, giving them more influence to influence the buying process. In increased competition, the retailer must be there where the consumer is.
